Aimee Ashcraft is a Gifted Intervention Specialist for Huber Heights City Schools in Ohio USA. Ashcraft has 27 years of teaching experience, has been a gifted coordinator and taught grades K-8. She has presented at conferences at the local, national, and international level, has served as secretary and president of West Central Ohio Association for Gifted Children, has served as regional representative and is currently the secretary for the Ohio Association for Gifted Children. In addition she has served as the district Invention Convention Coordinator for over 10 years.
Ashcraft continues to be a lifelong learner and role model for today’s youth by being a Martha Holden Jennings Action Research Fellow, Sphero Hero and a Certified Educator for Google, Seesaw, and Ozobot.
Ashcraft believes she has the opportunity to change lives everyday in the work that she does. She is an advocate for all children to experience deeper learning through collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and being creative problem solvers. She also believes in empowering students to be reflective, empathetic, and resilient. Students need to feel safe taking risks and experiencing failure as part of learning. She knows that by igniting students’ curiosity and passions through authentic learning experiences students will be inspired to be innovators and make a positive impact on the world.
