Alevil Macaisa

Alevil is a homeschool mom of four “Wonderfully Made Kids” with a passion for creative and innovative ways to educate. Through their homeschool blog and YouTube channel, they share purposeful, faith-based, and delight-directed learning activities that empower students to be life-long learners and tomorrow’s changemakers.

Understanding that there is no one-size-fits-all solution to education, Alevil continually explores new ideas that connect students to the global community of learners and create opportunities for real-world problem-solving. She gets the young kids involved in activities such as: making stuffed toy dugongs to support C3 Philippines, fund-raising for victims of natural calamities, COVID-19 letters for front liners and victims, Canva for Kids Learning Group where kids are encouraged to teach other kids, and “The Divrgents,” where they interview people who make a difference in this world.

Believing that, “The heart of education is the education of the heart,” she hopes that through meaningful learning experiences, she instills in her students the understanding that the real value of knowledge and skills comes from them being used as a force for good. She is delighted to be part of the GIFT team and wants to inspire more young people to be innovators that will lead us all to a brighter future.
