Allyra Melan Macaisa, a Senior High School student at Prince of Peace Integrated School Inc., is a Filipino homeschooler with a passion for animals and creative exploration. She has practiced many fiber arts such as, crocheting, embroidery, cross stitching, sewing, and bracelet making. She also does digital art and acrylic and watercolor painting.
She frequently channels her creative talents to support her advocacy for animals and other meaningful causes. Together with her family as WonderfullyMadeKids Homeschool, she has participated in several social entrepreneurship initiatives, including Adopt-a-Dugong & Give-a-Gift (2016), Bangon Batangas (2020), Puto Bumbong for a Cause (2020), Workshops for Peace (2022), and Fundraising for Open Paws Jeddah (2022-2023).
She is also an innovator, working on projects that promote sustainability. One of her notable projects is “Denim Slayer,” a social initiative focused on upcycling denim. The idea behind this project is to partner with the local community to transform old and unusable denim into new products, thereby reducing waste and promoting sustainable fashion.
Allyra is also the COO of Divrgents, a social impact organization that aims to inspire and empower the youth of her generation. The Divrgents is a platform for the youth which addresses and impacts any and all of the SDGs, through interviewing changemakers. As they share their stories, they also start workshops that empower the youth with communication and collaboration skills.
Moreover, Allyra has played significant roles in various global events, serving as a presenter, competitor, participant, moderator, and co-host in events such as the Global Innovation Field Trip, International Kids Conference, International Creativity and Innovation Award, and Vickathon.
