As a child, Jake Mendelssohn built his first machines out of wooden sticks and since then has gotten an Engineering Degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the Wharton School. Using those skills, he has designed numerous electronic and micro-controller based commercial products, started companies to manufacture and sell those products and worked in a consulting capacity to enhance the manufacturing capabilities of companies in a variety of industries. He is also deeply committed to sharing his love of science and engineering with the next generation and so, in addition, he is a certified Physics and Tech Ed teacher and taught advanced courses in several technical subjects at some of the best science and engineering high schools in the U.S. He is also one of the founding members of the Connecticut Invention Convention and for the past 36 years he has worked with that organization to enhance the creativity and problem-solving skills of students from kindergarten to grade 12. Jake is delighted and honored to be working with the talented and dedicated people at Innovation World as they use their fantastic energy to grow and expand the real-world education and success of students around the globe. |
