Suchita Srinivasan is a junior in Cheshire High School, CT. Her journey with technology began with a Scratch Udemy course and learning from online Youtube videos about Arduino. During the pandemic, she discovered ORCSGirls and TechGirlz, nonprofits focused on empowering women in tech. Suchita quickly became part of their community, later assisting in workshops at her local ProjectCSGirls Chapter. As a TechGirlz Teen Advisory Board member, she has led many CS workshops and inspired others through podcasts and interviews. She is also a board member of the National Museum of Education, celebrating young inventors, and is in the process of founding Limitless Learners to support STEM education for students with learning disabilities.
Suchita has expanded her skills in Arduino, Python, Swift, and Flutter, creating various inventions and participating in competitions like the CT Science Fair, Invention Convention, and Global Innovator Challenge. Her recent invention, Cura—a medical device for Torticollis—has earned multiple distinctions and was a finalist at the global level for the Innovator Challenge competition.
Suchita seeks to further her passion for STEM by attending various programs, such as the Inspirit AI program, where she participated in an SEO and Blogging Internship. She was also selected as one of 17 US ambassadors for the prestigious TechGirls program from over 6,500 applicants. This fully funded government program at Virginia Tech included a 10-day research project, a CAPstone event in Washington, D.C., job shadowing, and cultural exchange. Following the program, Suchita and her team recently published their research in the VirginiaTechWorks database. These experiences reinforced her commitment to using technology for social good. Moving forward, Suchita plans to continue inspiring others in STEM while pursuing a degree in Computer Science, aiming to expand her knowledge and create a lasting impact.
